NESTLÉ y el i3lab de la ESPOL fortalecen el talento joven y la sostenibilidad del cacao ecuatoriano con el Hackatón “Agro Futuro”

Nestlé Ecuador, a través de su programa Iniciativa por los Jóvenes, en alianza con i3lab de la Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), presenta el Hackatón “Agro Futuro”, un espacio diseñado para convocar a jóvenes universitarios de la ciudad de Guayaquil, entre 18 y 29 años a desarrollar soluciones sostenibles a los retos del sector cacaotero ecuatoriano.
El evento se llevará a cabo los días 27 y 28 de noviembre de 2025 en las instalaciones de ESPOL, en Guayaquil. Durante la jornada de dos días, los equipos participantes trabajarán con mentores y expertos para co-crear propuestas innovadoras que impulsen un agro más digital, eficiente y sostenible. Los jóvenes deberán elegir entre tres ejes temáticos:
· Digitalización del agro y comercio.
· Optimización de la cadena de valor del cacao.
· Mejora de procesos agrícolas sostenibles.
Las inscripciones estarán abiertas del 6 de octubre al 4 de noviembre en la Plataforma de Emprendimiento Juvenil de Nestlé (Nestlé YEP) https://www.nestleyouthentrepreneurship.com/events/hackathon-agro-futuro.
Los participantes deberán formar equipos de cuatro integrantes y presentar una idea que responda a uno de los retos planteados. Los proyectos ganadores recibirán 1.500 en capital semilla y la posibilidad de perfeccionar su propuesta junto a los programas de innovación de Nestlé y aliados estratégicos.
“El Hackatón Agro Futuro refleja nuestro compromiso con el desarrollo sostenible del sector cacaotero y con las nuevas generaciones. En Nestlé Ecuador hace varios años implementamos un modelo de Creación de Valor Compartido, que nos permite generar impactos positivos para la sociedad, el ambiente y nuestro negocio. Conectar el talento joven con el campo es clave para construir un agro más competitivo y sostenible”, destacó Christian Saavedra, Gerente de Negocio de Cacao de Nestlé Ecuador.
La propuesta se enmarca en la Iniciativa por los Jóvenes, programa que desde 2015 ha beneficiado a más de 274.000 jóvenes en Ecuador, a través de sus 3 ejes: empleo, emprendimiento y agroemprendimiento. Solo en los últimos años, Nestlé ha contratado a más de 2.400 jóvenes, facilitado 1.100 pasantías y entregado más de USD $ 65.000 en capital semilla para impulsar proyectos con propósito, reafirmando su compromiso con el desarrollo del talento joven y la innovación social.
Con el Hackatón “Agro Futuro”, Nestlé reafirma su apuesta por la innovación tecnológica y el fortalecimiento del sector agroindustrial ecuatoriano, promoviendo un espacio donde las ideas jóvenes se convierten en motores de cambio.
